Measuring Guidelines 3

Maximum and minimum cabinet widths
The minimum width of Windsor cabinet is 600mm. You cannot order a Windsor cabinet from Classic Radiator Cabinets less than this measurement. The minimum width of a Sandringham or Capesthorne radiator cabinet is 500mm. You cannot request these radiator covers to have a width of less than this measurement. The maximum width of all cabinet designs is 2900mm. You cannot request these radiator cabinets to have a width of less than this measurement.

Maximum and Minimum Cabinet Depths
The minimum depth of any radiator cabinet is 150mm. You cannot request a radiator cabinet from Classic Radiator Cabinets less than this measurement. The maximum depth of any radiator cabinet is 350mm. You cannot request a cabinet with a depth greater than this measurement.

Problems and Solutions
Any problems concerning the clearances and feasibility issues raised at the start of the measuring process are addressed in this section.
Problem 1
You do not have the minimum of 75mm clearance to each side of the radiator valve
Solution
If the reason for this is due to a side mounted thermostatic radiator valve, then, provided you take into account a minimum air space of 25mm between the outside edge of the radiator and the inside edge of the radiator cabinet and allow for the wall thickness of the radiator cabinet (18mm), it will be possible for us to cut the wall of the cabinet around the thermostatic radiator control valve head so that it is outside of the radiator cabinet.
If this solution is not practical, you should consider either having the radiator moved in order to allow for the clearances required, or replace the radiator with one that is smaller, whilst maintaining the heat output required for your room, ie replace a single panel radiator with smaller double panel radiator.

Problem 2
You have a narrow hallway and want to limit the depth of the shelf
Solution
If you select a Sandringham or Capesthorne cabinet, these cabinet shelves would extend 20mm less into the hall than that of a Windsor cabinet.
